Celebrated Chinese pianist Peng Lin is the First Prize winner of the 2023 Massarosa International Piano Competition and the Piotr Anderszewski Prize at the 2025 Vigo International Piano Competition. She made her New York Lincoln Center debut in 2015 performing Mozart Concerto K. 482 in Alice Tully Hall with the Juilliard Orchestra under Peter Oundjian. She has been a laureate of several renowned competitions, including Bach Prize at Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition, First Prize at the Rhodes International Piano Competi- tion, and Third Prize at the Antwerp International Piano Competition.

She has performed on the world-class stages such as Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Weill Hall, Muziekge- bouw and Shanghai Concert Hall. Her recent orchestral collaborations include Bartok Concerto No. 3 and Beethoven Concerto No. 4 with Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Wuhan philharmonic Orchestra and Kunming International Orchestra. An avid soloist and chamber musician, she has appeared at the Aspen Music Festival, Banff Centre Summer Arts Festival, Capraia Music Festival, Taos Chamber Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festi- val, as well as NPR and WQXR New York classical radio stations.

Born in Kulangsu (Gulangyu), China’s ‘piano island’, Peng Lin made her orchestral debut at age 9, per- forming Mozart Concerto K. 467. Before moving to New York City on a full scholarship to attend the Juilliard School Pre-College, She had won five top prizes in Chinese national piano competitions. She later earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at the Juilliard School, studying with Yoheved Kaplinsky and Hung-Kuan Chen. She continued her education at the Yale School of Music, receiving a Master of Musical Art degree in 2020 under studied with Hung-Kuan Chen and late Peter Serkin. In 2021, she completed an Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music, London, studying with Dmitri Alexeev and Ian Jones. Most recently, she graduated in July 2024 from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, under the tutelage of Benedet- to Lupo. Graduated with the highest distinction, she became the only piano candidate for Premio Sinopoli in 2025.

Peng Lin has a deep interest on contemporary music of both the East and the West. This season, she gave several UK premieres of Italian composer Gianluca Cascioli’s Études for Piano. Her upcoming projects include producing the first published recording of Piano Concerto ‘Gulangyu’, a work dedicated to her home- town by Chinese-Canadian composer An-lun Huang. She previously premiered Huang’s piano transcription of Orchestral Suite ‘Dream of Dun Huang’ for Orchestra, inspired by the Dunhuang frescoes in northeastern Chi- na, and recorded Shi-Guang Cui’s Shandong Folk Suite. Other notable premiers include Nocturne: Spheres Align by American-Swiss composer Anteo Fabris, which won the Rena Greenwald Memorial Prize at the Yale University.

Beyond classical piano, Peng Lin has experiences with historical keyboard instruments. She studied harpsichord and virginal with Peter Sykes, clavichord with Masayuki Maki, and fortepiano with Audrey Axinn. At the 2017 and 2018 New York Fortepiano Academy, her performance of Schubert Sonata D. 960 on a Broad- wood fortepiano was broadcast on WIOX Radio, New York.

A dedicated educator, Peng Lin taught undergraduate and graduate secondary piano students at The Juilliard School and Yale University. She has served as a jury member of the ‘Sterinbourgh Cup’ National Piano Competition and ‘Boya’ National Piano Competition in China. Her students have won top prizes in UK compe- titions and prestigious music scholarships.
