Peng Lin

Chinese pianist Peng Lin is the first prize winner of 2012 Rhodes International Piano Competition and is considered as a rising star among the young generation of pianists. As the winner of the Juilliard School Mozart Concerto competition, Ms. Lin made her New York Lincoln Center debut in 2015 in Alice Tully Hall, with the Juilliard Orchestra under the baton of conductor Peter Oundjian. The third prize winner of the recent UK Open International Piano Competition 2020, Ms. Lin has garnered top honours at numerous international competitions, including the Bach Special Prize in the 2016 Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition, the second prize of the 2009 Louisiana International Piano Competition, and the third prize and Chopin Prize of the 8th International Competition for Young Pianists "Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam”.

Ms. Lin has performed throughout China, USA, Russia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Japan, Italy, Netherland, Poland, Switzerland, and the UK. She has been heard on stages of such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York, Muziekgebouw Hall in Amsterdam and Shanghai Concert Hall in Shanghai. An active performer of both solo and chamber music, Ms. Lin has appeared in major music festivals. As an honoured recipient of the “New Horizon Fellowship”, Ms Lin regularly returned to Aspen Music Festival and Schools from 2011-2016. In the 2018 Taos Chamber Music Festival, Ms. Lin worked closely with members of renowned Borromeo Quartet, Miró Quartet and Brentano Quartet. During 2019 Sarasota Music Festival, Ms. Lin was featured on NPR radio station giving a live performance and interview. Her trio’s Ravel Piano trio performance was recorded and broadcasted on WQXR New York classical radio station.

Ms. Lin was born and raised on Gulangyu, “the music island” in Xiamen, China. On this island, she began to play piano at the age of four and made her orchestral debut with Mozart Concerto K. 467 at the age of nine. By the age of eleven, she had already won five first prizes in national piano competitions. Ms. Lin moved to New York at the age fifteen when she was offered full scholarship to attend the Pre-College of the Juilliard School. Ms. Lin subsequently completed her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at the Juilliard School, under the tutorage of Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky and Mr. Hung-Kuan Chen. In May 2020, Ms. Lin received her Master of Musical Art degree from Yale School of Music where she studied with Mr. Hung-Kuan Chen and Mr. Peter Serkin. Ms. Lin received Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music, and is now based in London.

林芃，青年钢琴家，鼓浪屿人。英国皇家音乐学院艺术家文凭，曾任美国茱莉亚学院及耶鲁大学钢琴辅修课教师。林芃曾获多个国际、国内比赛第一名，演出足迹遍布各洲，如卡内基音乐厅、斯坦威音乐厅、林肯艺术中心、香港表演艺术中心、上海音乐厅、莫斯科国际音乐中心、阿姆斯特丹Muziekgebouw音乐厅等。林芃首演的当代作品包括黄安伦《伎乐天》、《羽人舞》，Anteo Farbis 《Spheres Align》，何旻《雪盈盈》，丁冕《拾朝花》等。林芃还出任”斯坦伯格”杯、伯牙奖等全国钢琴比赛评委。

林芃四岁学习钢琴，师从吕振海、侯润宇老师。六岁以第一名成绩考入厦门市音乐学校，九岁演出莫扎特第二十一号钢琴协奏曲K. 467。十二岁以优异成绩插班考入中央音乐学院附小六年级，被时任中央音乐学院附中钢琴系主任张晋教授收入门下，在校连年获专业优秀奖。十四岁获德国斯图加特音乐学院免试入学资格及全额奖学金，并于同年跟随钢琴大师殷承宗先生学习。十六岁以第一名成绩被世界顶尖音乐学府美国茱莉亚学院预科以全额奖学金录取，师从钢琴系主任 Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky 卡普林斯基博士。2012年进入大学部学习，2016年获音乐学士学位并攻读硕士，同时师从卡普林斯基和陈宏宽教授。2018年获音乐硕士学位。同年，林芃以全额奖学金进入耶鲁大学音乐学院深造，成为传奇钢琴家塞金 Peter Serkin的关门弟子。2020年-2021年林芃将在英国皇家音乐学院(RCM)获得最高演奏家文凭Artist Diploma，同时师从高阶钢琴系主任Dmitri Alexeev 阿列谢夫和键盘系副主任Ian Jones 琼斯教授。

2020年林芃荣获首届英国钢琴国际公开赛第三名，并受邀参加2021马耳他国际钢琴比赛总决赛。同年，林芃首演美籍瑞士作曲家Anteo Farbis 的委约钢琴作品《Spheres Align》获得耶鲁大学的年度Rena Greenwald 纪念奖。2019年林芃受邀参加多个国际音乐节。6月在美国Sarasota音乐节做客NPR美国国家公共广播，现场演奏肖邦作品并接受采访。7月在意大利Virtuoso & Bel Canto 音乐节受到艺术总监邀请为托斯卡纳地区卢卡市市长演奏，并获得本届音乐节授予的荣誉提名。

林芃活跃于室内乐演出活动，并在纽约和厦门举办室内乐音乐会系列。2018年林芃作为每年仅有的两位钢琴家参加美国Taos室内乐音乐节。林芃的室内乐教授包括茱莉亚的Jerome Lowenthal 罗文塔尔教授、Robert McDonald 麦克唐纳教授和哈佛大学教授、莫扎特专家Robert Levin列文教授。

林芃还对巴洛克和古典时期音乐风格有独到见解，在茱莉亚学习期间师从 Peter Sykes、 Audrey Axinn 学习大键琴，羽管键琴和古钢琴。2017年6月，林芃在纽约古钢琴表演研究会上使用不同时期的古钢琴演奏了莫扎特、舒伯特、肖邦等作品。演出受到专家的一致好评，其中舒伯特奏鸣曲D.960 被纽约WIOX广播电台收录并播出。

2016年10月，林芃在意大利第24届Rina Sala Gallo国际钢琴比赛中经过三轮角逐，荣获最佳巴赫演奏奖，并于2017年3月在意大利博罗梅奥夏宫(Palazzo Arese Borromeo) 举行独奏音乐会。2014年11月，林芃赢得茱莉亚学院协奏曲比赛第一名，应邀于2015年1月与茱莉亚交响乐团合作。由加拿大著名指挥家、多伦多爱乐乐团艺术总监Peter Oundjian 执棒，林芃在纽约林肯表演艺术中心Alice Tully大厅上演莫扎特钢琴协奏曲K. 482。 2013年11月，林芃代表中国青年钢琴家，赴荷兰参加青年钢琴家协会（YPF）音乐节及大师班。2012年4月在希腊第五届罗德斯国际钢琴比赛中，经过三轮激烈竞争，以最小年龄参赛者的身份夺得第一名。该赛事共有来自24个国家的51位选手入围参赛，选手平均年龄28岁。该比赛评委均对林芃的天赋给予极高赞赏。评委会成员包括华沙肖邦国际钢琴比赛评委主席Andrzej Jasinski、以色列鲁宾斯坦国际钢琴比赛艺术总监Idith Zvi等专家。2009年10月，林芃获得美国路易斯安那国际青少年钢琴比赛第二名；同时以该赛历史上最小年龄参赛者的身份获艺术家组（35以下）优秀奖。同年4月，在波兰的第八届阿图尔·鲁宾斯坦国际青年钢琴比赛获得第三名, 与波兰Iuventus交响乐团合作肖邦第二钢琴协奏曲。凭借对肖邦作品细腻的感悟和出色的演奏，林芃被授予肖邦特别奖，成为该比赛历史上获此殊荣的第一位亚洲人。

林芃在国内比赛中五次获得首奖，包括第三届全国青少年钢琴比赛第一名；第十一、十二届星海杯全国青少年钢琴比赛一等奖；第二届卡丹萨杯全国青少年中国钢琴作品演奏比赛一等奖；第四届海伦杯中国作品演奏比赛第一名等。林芃有丰富的乐队独奏经验，自十四岁起多次和厦门爱乐乐团同台演出，合作的指挥包括郑小瑛、侯润宇、傅人长。演出曲目有拉赫玛尼诺夫第二钢琴协奏曲、普罗科菲耶夫第二钢琴协奏曲、黄河协奏曲、我爱鼓浪屿钢琴协奏曲等经典作品。林芃活跃于各类音乐活动和音乐节，如参加中央音乐学院附中50周年庆典音乐会及《崔世光作品选集》的录制；黄安伦《钢琴作品新编》首发式音乐会首演芭蕾舞剧“敦煌梦”。美国阿斯本音乐节连续六年提供全额奖学金邀请林芃参加。
